Meet Miss Tenaya

Creator and Director of TLT Dance Academy

My name is Tenaya Berrebi and I am the director and founder of T.L.T Dance Academy. I have always had a passion for dance, however my true passion and love lies in teaching this art. I receive such immense fulfilment from watching a student learn a new skill, or teaching the babies how to skip; influencing their lives and growth through dance.

I believe that each child is special, important and unique, and that they all deserve the right to a loving, enjoyable and brilliant childhood. This is what I seek to achieve with every class taught at my school, and aim to promote love, confidence, positive self esteem, and healthy body image throughout.

Being a mother myself, I know how important a child's happiness and self image is, and therefore my goal is to ensure that every child leaves class brimming with confidence and positivity about themselves and the world around them. Whilst making lifelong friendships and strong teacher relationships, getting fit and active, and most importantly, having fun, TLT classes teach correct and safe dance practice and ability.

My dance academy is a family, a place where students can feel welcome and loved, and a place where everyone is equal. I hope to have the opportunity to influence upon your child's life, and help to make their world as special and unique as they are.

Miss Tia

Junior, Pre/Primary & Tiny Tots Teacher

I started dance classes at the age of three, but my mum said I have been moving & grooving since I was a baby! Dance has been the biggest and most important thing in my life for as long as I can remember.

During the past 15 years I have trained in various styles of dance, competed in solo and group competitions, completed many dance exams in tap, ballet and jazz, participated in intensives and workshops, worked in the performance entertainment industry through talent agencies and performed in company productions.

For the past three years I have furthered my training by studying dance full time, which I will continue during 2023. I hold a Certificate IV and Diploma in Dance Teaching Management, which has helped me develop my knowledge of dance and grown my love for teaching. During the past three years I have taught children from 3 years of age, right through to adults. I hope to inspire the next generation of dancers here at TLT Academy and foster their love and passion for dance, while developing their skills in a fun and positive environment.

Miss Madi

Tiny Tots Teacher

Once I started dancing, I knew I had found my passion and could not stop!

I began dancing at the age of seven and have completed dance exams in 5 different genres, as well as competed in both solo and group eisteddfods. Since graduating school in 2018, I have completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance) at QUT, Royal Academy of Dance Access Route, a Teachers Certificate in Comdance Jazz and Gold Training for a preschool dance program - Ready Set Dance, which I have been teaching for two years. I am also currently in the middle of a Master of Teaching (Secondary) and Teachers Diploma in Comdance Jazz.

I aim for each student to have fun learning how to be confident and creative, whilst forming strong bonds with the kids around them in a safe and nurturing environment. I grew up dancing under the guidance of the most positive influences in my life, and hope to have the same influence on my students at TLT Dance Academy.

Miss Tiff

Senior Teacher

I have danced for 17 years and I am trained in various styles . I have recently just completed a year at Mission Master course where I was taught by Australia’s best Choreographers and professional dancers in the business.

I fell in love with teaching kids how to dance as it is so rewarding to see the passion and love they have when they are dancing. I look forward to working with your children at TLT Dance Academy and sharing my love, knowledge and experience of dance with them.

Fill in Teacher

For me, there is more to dance teaching than just teaching dance steps. It is more about teaching each student to work well as part of a team and to be kind people. I want to help students to find the joy in dance, the type of joy that will help to shape their lives and last them a lifetime. I love teaching children to dance because it gives me the opportunity to share all the most wonderful aspects of dance: the joy of movement, a love of music and being creative. It is important to me to develop each student to their full potential, whatever that may be and instil in them a love of dance.
